Cask Ale and Craft Beer

The Red Lion is passionate about cask ale and craft beer. As a traditional village pub, we serve a range of local and seasonal cask-conditioned ales. At any one time, we have 8 hand-drawn pumps and 8 pumps connected to kegs. We always have space for at least 4 guest ales. We aim to keep these seasonal with a mixture of countrywide brands, local artisan brewers and specialist porters. These are not limited to cask ales and we also stock guest craft ales, alongside our regular range.

Our team are serious about serving quality beer. We have the skill, care and dedication required to pull the perfect pint every time. As we serve our drinks with a smile, you will always be met with a warm welcome. We want our customers to enjoy ale at its best.

You can find descriptions of our current guest ales on our blackboard tiles. Our wide choice of beer caters for those who prefer a pint or two of their favourite tipple to newcomers ready to explore different ales.

When it comes to cask conditioned ale, we leave nothing to chance

Cask conditioned ales are our number one passion. Our temperature-controlled cellars and stringent cellar management processes means that we serve top-quality ale in its best condition. We place great importance in clean lines and providing a clean bar environment for our customers. Our glasses are rejuvenated using fast-drying, high-tech machines to ensure every customer has a sparkling glass. All our staff are trained to maintain these exact standards. Our beer is always served in the glass it was designed to be consumed in. Because when it comes to serving beer, it’s all down to our cellar and our staff.

Refreshing Craft Cider and Perry

When it comes to cider and perry, we have popular brands on draft and craft cider available. We also have a wide variety of bottled fruit and berry cider. Our cider and perry will refresh your senses and are perfect for enjoying in our beer garden on a sunny day.

Beyond Draft we believe in Craft

At The Red Lion, we also have regular craft IPA and lager available, along with a guest craft ale. You will find ryes, stouts, porters, wheats, Indian or even Scottish beer by the bottle. As our range changes seasonally, you will see differences in winter compared to summer. Even CAMRA enthusiasts are spoilt for choice. We also stock a fine range of premium, continental lagers and bottled lagers from around the world.

Delicious Wines and Spirits

Our wine list is continually being developed to bring you delicious reds, whites and roses. We stock a variety of premium wines such as Provence Rose and Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. We know that not every customer is a beer drinker, and we want to cater for everyone. We also have a good selection of gin, rum, and other quality spirits that won’t disappoint.
